Pleurotomaria (Phanerotrema) cailliaudi was named by Barrois (1889) [Pleurotomaria (Phanerotrema) Cailliaudi
= Phanerotrema cf.occidens Oehlert 1877 p. 578 pl. 9 f. 6-6a]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chateau-Briant, just east of Erbray, which is in an Emsian carbonate limestone in the Calcaire d’Erbray Formation of France.
It was recombined as Phanerotrema cailliaudi by Frech (1894), Wagner (2023).
