Tersella sainsburyi
Taxonomy
Hystricurus sainsburyi was named by Ross (1965) [Paratypes: USNM 144234-5. Questionably assigned to genus by author.]. Its type specimen is USNM 144233, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lost River USGS D901 CO, which is in an Ordovician carbonate carbonate in Alaska.
It was recombined as Tersella sainsburyi by Adrain et al. (2003).
