Lavadamia joplinae
Taxonomy
Lavadamia joplinae was named by Adrain et al. (2003) [Paratypes: SUI 99588-99592]. Its type specimen is SUI 99587, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is LDN 142.0-142.6, Lava Dam North, which is in a Skullrockian open shallow subtidal horizon in the House Formation of Utah. It is the type species of Lavadamia.
