Taxonomy
Amphiscapha (Cylicioscapha) williamsi was named by Yochelson (1956). Its type specimen is AMNH 27939:1, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is AMNH625, Victorio Canyon, Sierra Diablo, which is in a Kungurian shallow subtidal limestone in the Bone Spring Formation of Texas.
