Pseudospinella bitauniensis

Taxonomy

Spinella bitauniensis was named by Bless (1987).

It was recombined as Pseudospinella bitauniensis by Crasquin (2008).

Synonyms

Pseudospinella ruggierii was named by Kozur (1991). Its type specimen is CK-VII-5, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Torrente San Calogero, Sample 655, which is in a Wuchiapingian deep-water claystone in Italy. It is the type species of Pseudospinella.

It was synonymized subjectively with Pseudospinella bitauniensis by Crasquin (2008).
