Divalinga (Stchepinskya) was named by Chavan (1951) [Sepkoski's age data: K Maes T Eo-u Sepkoski's reference number: 991]. Its type is Lucina rigaultiana.

It was reranked as Stchepinskya by Sepkoski (2002).

It was assigned to Divalinga by Cox et al. (1969), Glibert (1985) and Pacaud and Le Renard (1995); and to Veneroida by Sepkoski (2002).
