Taxonomy
Punctospirifer altiplecusformis was named by Feng (1978). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Meitangou, Anchang, Zhangyang County, which is in a Wuchiapingian coastal siliciclastic in the Longtan Formation of China.
It was recombined as Spiriferellina altiplecusformis by Clapham (2015).
