Roxoa was named by Mendes (1952) [Sepkoski's age data: P Guad-u]. It is not extant.
It was assigned to Hiatellidae by Cox et al. (1969); to Plesiocyprinellinae by Simóes et al. (1997); and to Myoida by Sepkoski (2002).
