Taxonomy
Polygyrina zhongzhaiensis was named by He et al. (2008). Its type specimen is ZHZ-18-38 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Zhongzai Section, Bed 18, Liuzhi County, which is in a Griesbachian marine mudstone in the Yelang Formation of China.
