Venericardia (Venericor) tonosiensis

Taxonomy
Venericardia tonosiensis was named by Rustch (1936). Its type specimen is NMB 211, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is PRI station 3139, Bucaru-Punta Guanico, which is in a Priabonian coastal sandstone in the TonosĂ­ Formation of Panama.

It was recombined as Venericardia (Venericor) tonosiensis by Gardner and Bowles (1939).
