Taxonomy
Pseudophillipsia (Pseudophillipsia) catena was named by Kobayashi and Hamada (1984). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Akasaka Limestone, Neoschwagerina Zone, which is in a Wordian deep subtidal limestone in the Akasaka Formation of Japan.
