Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
P. J. Makovicky et al. 2011Small basal ornithopod with five ho- modont, bulbous, unserrated premaxillary teeth; premaxilla without rugose ramphothecal pad as in Hypsilophodon and Thescelosaurus; triangular accessory maxillary fenestra present as in Hypsilophodon; jugal with bifid caudal ramus as in Je- holosaurus; quadratojugal foramen present; midline depression along internasal suture; predentary with bifid ventral ramus. Al- though some of these traits may ultimately optimize as autapo- morphies of Haya griva, the unstable nature of neornithischian phylogeny and complex distribution of these traits does not allow for such inferences at this time.
