Taxonomy
Lyonsia was named by Turton (1822) [Sepkoski's age data: T Than R Sepkoski's reference number: 914]. It is extant.

It was assigned to Pholadomyoida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Lyonsiidae by Deshayes (1857), Eames (1951), Wienrich (1999), Bouchet et al. (2010).

Synonyms
  • Pandorina was named by Scacchi (1833). It is extant.

    It was synonymized subjectively with Lyonsia by Vokes (1980).
