Cypraea robertsi was named by Hildago (1906). It is extant. It is the type species of Plaziatia.
It was recombined as Plaziatia robertsi by Dolin and Lozouet (2004); it was recombined as Pseudozonaria robertsi by Landau and Marques da Silva (2010), Landau and Groves (2011).
