Flobertia was named by Hesselbo (1992) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Trep-u Sepkoski's reference number: 1031]. It is not extant. Its type is Flobertia kochi.
It was assigned to Merostomata by Sepkoski (2002); to Aglaspidida by van Roy (2006); to Aglaspididae by Hesselbo (1992) and Ortega-Hernandez et al. (2013); and to Tremaglaspididae by Lerosey-Aubril et al. (2017).
