Parvilucina (Microloripes) was named by Cossmann (1901). It is extant. Its type is Lucina dentata.

It was Loripes (Microloripes) by Mandic et al. (2002); it was Lucina (Microloripes) by Moths et al. (2010); it was reranked as Microloripes by Sepkoski (2002), Taylor and Glover (2021).

It was assigned to Parvilucina by Cox et al. (1969); to Veneroida by Sepkoski (2002); to Loripes by Mandic et al. (2002); to Lucina by Moths et al. (2010); and to Lucinidae by Taylor and Glover (2021).
