Bondonella was named by Hupe (1953) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Atda-u Sepkoski's reference number: 473]. It is not extant. Its type is Bondonella typica.
It was assigned to Judomioidea by Lieberman (2001); to Olenellida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Neltneriidae by Palmer and Repina (1993), Whittington et al. (1997), Jell and Adrain (2002).
