It was recombined as Verrucocoelia tubulata by Świerczewska-Gładysz (2010).

  • Periphragella simplex was named by Schrammen (1912). It is not extant. Its type locality is Oberg, which is in a Campanian offshore shelf marl in Germany.

    It was synonymized subjectively with Verrucocoelia tubulata by Reid (1969).
