Taxonomy
Craticularia virgatula was named by Schrammen (1912). It is not extant. Its type locality is Oberg, which is in a Campanian offshore shelf marl in Germany.

It was recombined as Laocoetis virgatula by Świerczewska-Gładysz (2010).
