Wolynaspis was named by Chernysheva (1967) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Atda-u]. It is not extant. Its type is Wolynaspis unica.
It was assigned to Daguinaspidinae by Palmer and Repina (1993); and to Olenellida by Sepkoski (2002).
