Taxonomy
Lymnorella encrusta was named by Rigby and Scott (1981). It is not extant. Its type locality is Paul Spur, which is in an Albian reef, buildup or bioherm framestone in the Mural Limestone Formation of Arizona.
It was recombined as Mammillopora encrusta by Finks et al. (2004).
