Taxonomy
Metalegoceras hudsoni was named by Miller and Furnish (1957). Its type specimen is SUI 5994 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Haushi, Lower Half of Section, which is in a Sakmarian shallow subtidal limestone in the Saiwan Formation of Oman.
