Raphistoma richmondensis was named by Ulrich and Scofield (1897) [Raphistoma richmondensis Ulrich in Ulrich & Scofield 1897]. It is not extant.

It was recombined as Raphistomina richmondensis by Frey (1987); it was recombined as Scalites richmondensis by Wagner (2023).
