Hystricurus deflectus
Taxonomy
Hystricurus deflectus was named by Heller (1954). Its type specimen is U. Mo. No. 10329, a pygidium, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is MR-15, Hwy 5 and Bryant Creek, which is in a Stairsian carbonate chert in the Roubidoux Formation of Missouri.
