Shivelicus was named by Pokrovskaya (1959) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Boto Sepkoski's reference number: 462]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Corynexochidae by Jell and Adrain (2002); and to Corynexochida by Sepkoski (2002).
