Drumhellera kurmanniae was named by Serbet and Stockey (1991). It is not extant. It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type locality is Drumheller, which is in a Campanian fluvial-lacustrine mudstone/sandstone in the Horseshoe Canyon Formation of Canada.
