Eoacidaspis was named by Poletaeva (1956) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Fran-l O Trem-l Sepkoski's reference number: 618]. It is not extant. Its type is Eoacidaspis salairica.
It was assigned to Eoacidaspididae by Bruton (1983); to Lichida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Lichakephalidae by Thomas and Holloway (1988), Jell and Adrain (2002).
