Taxonomy

Acrochordiceras carolinae was named by von Mojsisovics (1882). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Schreyeralm (Geol Reichsanstalt coll), which is in an Illyrian carbonate limestone in the Schreyeralm Formation of Austria.

Synonyms

Acrochordiceras bithynicum was named by Arthaber (1915). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Diliskelessi, which is in a Pelsonian/Tuvalian marine horizon in Türkiye.

It was synonymized subjectively with Acrochordiceras carolinae by Monnet et al. (2010).
Acrochordiceras halili was named by Toula (1896).

It was synonymized subjectively with Acrochordiceras carolinae by Monnet et al. (2010).
Acrochordiceras fischeri was named by von Mojsisovics (1882). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Schreyeralm (Geol Reichsanstalt coll), which is in an Illyrian carbonate limestone in the Schreyeralm Formation of Austria.

It was synonymized subjectively with Acrochordiceras carolinae by Monnet et al. (2010), Vörös et al. (2022).
Acrochordiceras enode was named by Hauer (1892).

It was recombined as Epacrochordiceras enode by Spath (1934); it was synonymized subjectively with Acrochordiceras carolinae by Monnet et al. (2010).
Acrochordiceras undatus was named by Arthaber (1896). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tiefengraben (Arthaber section), which is in a Pelsonian/Illyrian carbonate limestone in the Gutenstein Formation of Austria.

It was corrected as Acrochordiceras undatum by Arthaber (1896), Spath (1934); it was synonymized subjectively with Acrochordiceras carolinae by Monnet et al. (2010), Vörös et al. (2022).
Acrochordiceras erucosum was named by Arthaber (1896). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tiefengraben (Arthaber section), which is in a Pelsonian/Illyrian carbonate limestone in the Gutenstein Formation of Austria.

It was synonymized subjectively with Acrochordiceras carolinae by Monnet et al. (2010).
Acrochordiceras portisi was named by Martelli (1906). It is the type species of Acrochordiceras (Epacrochordiceras).

Acrochordiceras ippeni was named by Arthaber (1911).
