Taxonomy
Rieberites transiformis was named by Monnet and Bucher (2005). Its type specimen is PIMUZ 25366 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Oliver Gulch HB 596, Augusta Mountains, which is in an Illyrian marine horizon in Nevada.
