Euphemites latirimalus was named by Wang (1980) [Wang in Wang & Xi 1980]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Jiaozishan Section Bed 16 (AJ-35,34,33), Anshun County, which is in a Wuchiapingian carbonate limestone in China.
