Laethoprusia was named by Ramskold (1991) [Sepkoski's age data: S Wenl-l D Sieg Sepkoski's reference number: 1106,1245]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Odontopleuridae by Jell and Adrain (2002); and to Odontopleurida by Sepkoski (2002).
