It was reranked as the subfamily Pseudagnostinae by Harrington and Leanza (1957).

It was assigned to Agnostidae by Harrington and Leanza (1957); to Agnostida by Robison and Pantoja-Alor (1968); to Agnostoidea by Westrop et al. (1996); and to Condylopygoidea by Naimark and Pegel (2017).
