Emyduranus platyops
Taxonomy
Emyduranus platyops was named by Broom (1921). Its type specimen is BMNH R. 4959, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Biesjiespoort, Victoria West, which is in a Wuchiapingian terrestrial horizon in South Africa. It is the type species of Emyduranus.
