Taxonomy
Dyscritella inversa was named by Reid (2003). Its type specimen is UTGD 126949 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is M15, Fossil Cliffs, Maria Island, which is in a Sakmarian open shallow subtidal limestone in Australia.
