Taxonomy
Hadronector donbairdi was named by Lund and Lund (1984). Its type specimen is MV 3635, a skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Bear Gulch (Carnegie Museum Collection), which is in an Arnsbergian open shallow subtidal limestone in the Heath Formation of Montana.
