Oxydiscus delanoui was named by Oehlert and Oehlert (1888) [Oxydiscus Delanoui]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Tropidodiscus (Tropidodiscus) delanoni by Jhaveri (1969); it was recombined as Tropidodiscus delanoui by Wagner (2023).
