Euptychaspis was named by Ulrich (1931) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Trep-l O Trem-l Sepkoski's reference number: 379,697]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Asaphida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Ptychaspididae by Jell and Adrain (2002).
