Taxonomy
Akaimia altucuspis was named by Rees (2010). It is not extant. Its type specimen is ZPAL P 12 ⁄ 1. Its type locality is Bed 16, Ogrodzieniec Quarry, which is in a Callovian offshore shelf marl in the Jasna Gora Formation of Poland.
