Boreokirkbya oertlii
Taxonomy
Boreokirkbya oertlii was named by Kozur and Nassichuk (1978). Its type specimen is GSC 53138, a valve (right valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GSC C-32499, Canyon Fiord, Ellesmere Island, which is in a Capitanian shallow subtidal limestone in the Trold Fiord Formation of Canada. It is the type species of Boreokirkbya.
