Taxonomy
Martinia semiglobosa was named by Tschernyschew (1902).

It was recombined as Pseudomartinia semiglobosa by Cooper (1957); it was recombined as Tiramnia semiglobosa by Grunt (1977) and Viaretti et al. (2022).
