Spitsbergenia patella
Taxonomy
Spitsbergenia patella was named by Hurcewicz (1982). It is not extant. Its type locality is Treskelen, Creek IV, Hornsund (brachiopod cherts), which is in a Wuchiapingian carbonate limestone in the Kapp Starostin Formation of Svalbard and Jan Mayen. It is the type species of Spitsbergenia.
