Taxonomy
Trigonotreta orientensis was named by Archbold and Singh (1993). Its type specimen is WIF/A 968b and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tatamari Village, Lina Stream, Locality 28, which is in a Sakmarian marine shale/shale in the Garu Formation of India.
