Taxonomy
Anomocarella was named by Walcott (1905) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm mMid Cm uMid-u]. It is not extant. Its type is Anomocarella chinensis.

It was assigned to Dikelocephalidae by Mason (1935); to Anomocarellidae by Jell and Adrain (2002); and to Ptychopariida by Sepkoski (2002).
