Berabichia was named by Geyer (1990) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Atda-u Sepkoski's reference number: 1221]. It is not extant.

It was synonymized subjectively with Ptychoparopsis by Jell and Adrain (2002).

It was assigned to Ptychopariida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Antatlasiinae by Cederstrom et al. (2022).
