Chosenia was named by Kobayashi (1934) [Sepkoski's age data: O Trem-u]. It is not extant. Its type is Chosenia laticephala.
It was assigned to Leiostegiidae by Jell and Adrain (2002); and to Ptychopariida by Sepkoski (2002).
