Taxonomy
Eokosovopeltis was named by Pribyl and Vanek (1972) [Sepkoski's age data: O Cara-l O u]. It is not extant. Its type is Bronteus romanovskii.

It was assigned to Ptychopariida by Sepkoski (2002); to Styginidae by Jell and Adrain (2002); to Trilobita by Nikitin et al. (2003); and to Scutelluinae by Edgecombe et al. (2007).
