Ferralsia was named by Cobbold (1935) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Atda-u Cm Tojo-u Sepkoski's reference number: 80,81]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Palaeolenidae by Jell and Adrain (2002); and to Ptychopariida by Sepkoski (2002).
