Taxonomy
Walnichollsia minuta was named by Waterhouse (1963). Its type specimen is TM3189 and is a mold. Its type locality is GS6054, Gibraltar Burn-Redcliff Creek (D44/f9625), which is in an Artinskian marine sandstone in New Zealand.
