Taxonomy
Wyndhamia sphenarctica was named by Waterhouse (1969). Its type specimen is GSC 23817 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GSC 76029, Cape Fortune, Cameron Island, which is in a Wordian marine sandstone in Canada.
