Taxonomy
Eostega lebedinskyi was named by Lambrecht (1929). Its type specimen is NMW 1930/0001/0013, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cluj-Mănăștur, which is in a Lutetian marine horizon in Romania.
